Power off the AC 800M controller system prior to installation.
Vertically insert the CI854A module into a vacant slot of the controller backplane.
Firmly push the module until it completely connects to the CEX Bus backplane connector.
Tighten the locking screws on both sides of the module to fix it in place.
Wire PROFIBUS DP cables to the two 9-pin D-sub female connectors on the front faceplate.
Install proper RS485 bus terminators at both ends of the PROFIBUS bus as necessary.
Check that all wiring connections are securely fastened and free of short circuits.
Switch on the controller system and configure the module using Control Builder M software.
Carry out communication tests to ensure reliable data transmission with PROFIBUS slave devices.
Important Installation Notes
This module supports hot swapping. Disconnect related communication loads before hot replacement.
Comply with the 500 VAC galvanic isolation specification between fieldbus wiring and controller cabinet earth.
Route PROFIBUS signal cables separately from high-power cables to prevent electromagnetic interference.
