Installation Guidelines of Foxboro FBM233

The Foxboro FBM233 communication module is designed for standard 35 mm top-hat DIN rail mounting inside industrial control cabinets. It can be installed side by side with other Foxboro I/A Series modules to achieve compact and orderly cabinet layout.

Before installation, completely power off the entire system and check the module for physical and terminal integrity. Choose a dry, well-ventilated installation location free from severe vibration, corrosive materials and strong electromagnetic interference.

Align the module’s rear fastener with the DIN rail and press firmly until the bottom spring clip locks in place securely. Keep the module level and reserve sufficient gaps for heat dissipation.

During wiring, isolate power cables from Ethernet communication cables to prevent signal interference. Adopt standard industrial shielded Ethernet cables, and ensure firm terminal connections and effective system grounding.

For disassembly, cut off system power and disconnect all cables. Release the bottom spring latch using a flat screwdriver, then lift the module upward to remove it from the DIN rail.

The module shall be installed and operated within the rated temperature and humidity range. Avoid fully sealed enclosed spaces to prevent overheating and guarantee long-term stable operation.
