GE IS220PPRFH1B Technical Specifications
Input & Output Parameters
Power Supply Input Voltage: Nominal supply of 28 V DC (Supported operational tolerance range of 27.4 V DC to 28.6 V DC).
Maximum Input Current: 0.18 A DC maximum current draw under full load.
Network Inputs/Outputs: Dual 10Base-T/100Base-TX RJ-45 Ethernet ports providing redundant paths to the controller network (IONet).
PROFIBUS Interface: One DE-9 D-sub female RS-485 receptacle connector acting as the Master port.
Field Data Payload Capacity: Supports a maximum configuration of up to 125 connected slave devices, handling up to 244 bytes of inputs and 244 bytes of outputs concurrently per individual slave.
Transmission Performance: Continuous baud rates ranging from a minimum of 9.6 kbps up to a maximum transmission speed of 12 Mbps.

GE IS220PPRFH1B Wiring & Installation Methods
Terminal Board Attachment: The IS220PPRFH1B module is designed to mount directly onto the companion PROFIBUS Gateway Terminal Board (specifically model IS200SPIDG1A). The terminal board is responsible for routing power and storing the necessary electronic ID data.
Power and Logic Booting: Upon mechanical connection and the application of input power, an onboard soft-start circuit safely ramps up the internal voltage. Once internal self-tests pass successfully, the application firmware automatically boots from flash memory.
Fieldbus Physical Layer Wiring: Field connections to the PROFIBUS network are completed exclusively through the integrated DE-9 D-sub connector using standard RS-485 shielded twisted-pair cabling.
Network Segment Grounding and Termination: Standard PROFIBUS network segment termination practices must be strictly followed. Active termination resistors must be energized at both physical ends of the RS-485 fieldbus segment to eliminate signal reflections and maintain data integrity.

GE IS220PPRFH1B Product Advantages & Key Features
High-Speed Processing Framework: Leverages an onboard BPPx processor block that manages initialization, continuous diagnostic routines, and instant validation of the board ID hardware fingerprint to prevent mismatching.
Robust Network Redundancy: Natively supports versatile redundancy configurations, including simplex mode (single pack, single Ethernet link), dual-link mode (single pack with dual IONet ports), and a fully redundant hot-backup topology utilizing two separate PPRFs (one active master, one passive stand-by).
Exceptional Environmental Protection: Features a premium industrial conformal coating across the internal printed circuit board (PCB) to offer resistance against dust, relative humidity, and airborne contaminants.
Visual Diagnostics: Integrated LED indicators mounted on the front panel provide real-time diagnostic status updates regarding network integrity, module power, and active communication faults.
