ProSoft 6104-WA-PDPM Wiring & Connection Interfacing
Interface Assignments
The module separates power, network, and radio signals onto dedicated, isolated hardware boundaries:
PROFIBUS DP Port (DB9 Female): Standard PROFIBUS pinout wiring:
Pin 3: RxD/TxD-P (Data line B, Red wire)
Pin 8: RxD/TxD-N (Data line A, Green wire)
Pin 5: DGND (Data Ground reference)
Pin 6: VP (+5 V DC voltage supply for active end-of-line termination resistors)
Power Supply Wiring: Wired via a pluggable terminal block at the base of the module. Uses minimum 18 AWG copper wires for stable ground bonding.
RF Antenna Connection: Coaxial cabling must be routed from the RP-SMA port to a suitable omnidirectional or directional panel antenna. A high-quality lightning surge arrestor is strongly recommended for outdoor antenna installations.

ProSoft 6104-WA-PDPM Power Specifications
Operational Voltage Input: 24 V DC nominal (supported window of 10 to 28 V DC)
Current Consumption: 500 mA maximum at 24 V DC
Power Connection: Removable 3-position screw terminal block (Positive, Negative, Earth Ground)
Communication Ports & Protocol Parameters
Wired Protocol Port: 1 x PROFIBUS DP Master Port (RS-485 differential signaling)
Physical Interface: Female 9-pin D-Sub (DB9) connector
Supported Baud Rates: 9.6 kbps up to 12 Mbps (Software auto-detect or fixed selection)
Wireless Transceiver: Integrated High-Speed Industrial Wireless Radio Module
Frequency Band: Typically 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz unlicensed ISM bands (depending on specific sub-regional hardware model variants)
Antenna Port: RP-SMA female connector for external antenna hookup
Encryption & Security: Embedded proprietary over-the-air data encoding to prevent external sniffing or payload manipulation
Configuration Interface: Mini-DIN or RJ45 auxiliary port for connecting with ProSoft Configuration Builder (PCB) diagnostics software

ProSoft 6104-WA-PDPM Product Key Advantages
Eliminates High Cabling Costs: Completely removes the requirement for structural trenching, cable-tray modifications, or slip-ring installations by bridging remote PROFIBUS DP network assets wirelessly.
Autonomous Master Processing: Functions as an independent Class 1 PROFIBUS Master, keeping localized polling schedules optimized down to millisecond intervals without draining resources from the main supervisory PLC backplane.
Comprehensive Diagnostic Capabilities: Integrates seamlessly with ProSoft Configuration Builder (PCB) software, delivering access to extended diagnostics, node failure counters, freeze/sync status, and standard PROFIBUS error codes.
Flexible Topology Layouts: Effortlessly manages one-to-one network extensions or scales into a hub-and-spoke configuration (one master interacting with multiple distributed remote slave blocks) over the same wireless link.
Industrial-Grade Architecture: Features complete galvanic isolation on the serial line and an advanced metal/polycarbonate housing suited to handle high-vibration and electrically noisy industrial control environments.
