Triconex 3704E Wiring Method

The Triconex 3704E module adopts backplane internal connection + external terminal board wiring design with no direct field wiring on the module.

1. Internal Rack Wiring

It connects to the Tricon rack backplane via gold-plated locking connectors for power and TMR bus data transmission. It supports hot-swap and features anti-misplug protection.

2. External Field Wiring

All 64 analog input channels connect to field sensors through dedicated Triconex termination boards. Use shielded twisted-pair cables with screw-locked terminals for stable connection. Cable shields apply single-point grounding to avoid ground loop interference.

3. Communication Wiring

No independent external communication wiring is needed. Data and diagnostic signals are transmitted to the main controller via the rack internal backplane bus.
