DS200TCEBG1BAA GE Expander Board NEW IN STOCK

The GE DS200TCEBG1BAA is a Mark V Speedtronic TCEB protective termination expander board that uses four signal transformers and multiple bayonet/26-pin/10-pin/20-pin connectors to provide galvanic isolation (≥3000 VAC), pulse shaping and terminal expansion between field protective devices (MPU, flame, vibration, trip solenoids) and the TCEA/TC2000 trip logic in the P1 core. As a passive, firmware-free interface card rated for −40 °C to +85 °C and backplane-powered, it acts as the isolated wiring hub that buffers and distributes emergency-trip and protective-input signals across the TMR turbine safeguard chain.

GE DS200TCEBG1BAA Inputs and Outputs

Inputs:

Field digital contact signals sourced from turbine protection circuits, covering trip interlock signals, fault status contacts and discrete emergency shutdown signals

Inter-board digital signals transmitted from core control boards through ribbon cable connectors (JKX, JKY, JKZ)

Backplane power supply input: +5 VDC power supplied by the Mark V rack backplane

Conditioned protection signals delivered from safety monitoring boards

Outputs:

Buffered discrete protection signals forwarded to neighboring Mark V control modules

Terminated relay driving outputs for on-site alarm devices and protection interlock equipment

Processed trip logic signals sent to overspeed modules and safety control boards

Signal distribution outputs used to expand terminal capacity for various protection loops

Interface Connectors:

3 × 20-pin connectors: JKX, JKY, JKZ

1 × 26-pin connector

4 × 10-pin connectors

Troubleshooting Methods for GE DS200TCEBG1BAA

Pre-Troubleshooting Notes

Carry out Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and disconnect cabinet power prior to board removal. Wear a grounded ESD wrist strap to avoid electrostatic damage to electronic components.

Fault 1: Lost discrete input signals or unstable signal readings

Inspect field contact wiring and terminal fastening status, and check for loose connections, open circuits or short circuits.

Examine JKX, JKY, JKZ ribbon cables for bent pins, improper engagement and corrosion. Reconnect or substitute faulty cables as needed.

Test onboard signal transformers to identify open windings or insulation breakdown.

Check for heavy electromagnetic interference from adjacent power cables and optimize shielding grounding arrangements.

Fault 2: Failed protection signal output and inactive interlock triggers

Measure the backplane +5 VDC supply voltage to verify stable power supply.

Inspect wiring of output channels connected to relays and alarm devices for short-circuit damage.

Cross-check jumper settings against engineering schematics and rectify incorrect configurations.

Monitor internal signal status via Mark V Toolbox to confirm if faults stem from upstream control boards.

Fault 3: Intermittent signal variations and sporadic false protection alarms

Remove oxidation and dust buildup on connectors, backplane contacts and terminal blocks.

Check cabinet ventilation conditions to resolve overheating that leads to component performance drift.

Route signal cables away from high-power cables to minimize noise interference.

Ensure all cable shielding implements single-point grounding.

Fault 4: Communication errors between the TCEB board and core control boards

Reinstall the board firmly in the rack slot to achieve reliable contact with the backplane.

Inspect all 20-pin, 26-pin and 10-pin connectors for bent or fractured pins.

Conduct module swapping with a spare DS200TCEBG1BAA to differentiate board faults from rack backplane defects.

Fault 5: No power indication on the board

Measure the +5 VDC power output of the target rack slot on the backplane.

Examine the PCB for burnt traces, damaged discrete components and other visible defects.

Check for conductive foreign matter triggering short circuits on the circuit board.

General Troubleshooting Guidelines

Document fault codes and signal status collected by Mark V Toolbox before executing maintenance work.

Never insert or extract the board while the cabinet is energized, which may result in unexpected turbine trips.

If comprehensive inspection excludes wiring and power supply failures, the board needs off-line maintenance or replacement.

Run complete loop tests on all protection circuits after troubleshooting to confirm proper functionality.
