The GE DS200TCQCG1BJF is a Mark V Speedtronic TCQC analog I/O expander (RST overflow) board that adds jumper-configured channel capacity—via 24 jumpers and 3×40-pin / 3×34-pin / 1×16-pin ribbon headers—to route extra thermocouple, RTD, 4–20 mA, ±10 V, pulse and vibration signals between TCQA front-ends, field terminal boards and the R/S/T cores. Passive and backplane-powered with on-board relays but no processor or network interface, rated for −20 to +70 °C rack operation, it serves as the channel-expansion and signal-relay satellite of the Mark V TMR analog chain rather than an autonomous acquisition card.

Communication failure between the module and main controller

Cause: Insufficient backplane contact, improperly inserted module or damaged backplane pins

Solution: Cut off power supply of the rack and reinsert the module; check backplane connectors for bent pins and corrosion; clean gold-plated contacts using anti-static cleaning supplies.

Offset or fluctuating readings of analog input signals

Cause: Improper jumper configuration, poor field wiring contact, electromagnetic interference or faulty cold junction compensation circuit

Solution: Ensure jumper settings match on-site signal types; fasten all terminals; route low-level signal cables separately from power cables; verify thermocouple wiring polarity.

Analog output channels without response

Cause: Incorrect jumper setup for output range, short-circuited field load or impaired output circuit

Solution: Confirm jumpers are configured for target 20mA / 200mA range; disconnect field loads to carry out independent output testing; troubleshoot and clear external short-circuit faults.

Constant illumination of diagnostic alarm LED

Cause: Overvoltage input, internal module failure or short circuit in signal wiring

Solution: Measure rack power supply voltage; disconnect field wires sequentially to locate external short circuits; replace the module if the alarm remains active after all external wiring is removed.

Abnormal triggering failure of discrete trip outputs

Cause: Loose ribbon cables, incorrect logic parameter settings or overloaded external relays

Solution: Reinstall flat cables to matched ports; double-check control logic parameters; install isolating relays when external loads exceed the module’s drive capability.

Loss of LVDT/LVDR position feedback signals

Cause: Reversed wiring, damaged field cables or non-standard shield grounding

Solution: Inspect polarity of position sensor signals; adopt single-point shield grounding scheme; prevent long-distance wiring without shielding.

Unavailable functional testing through RS232 interface

Cause: Serial cable with mismatched pin assignment, inconsistent baud rate or loose serial connector

Solution: Adopt official GE dedicated test cables; align communication parameters with system specifications; firmly re-seat the RS232 connector.
