Instruction for Kongsberg RMP200-8, Part No.603443

Mounting Type: Standard 35 mm DIN rail mounting within control cabinets

Protection Class: IP20, suitable solely for installation inside enclosed cabinets

Mounting Procedures

Verify the DIN rail is rigidly mounted horizontally on the cabinet mounting plate. Vertical mounting is not advised.

Engage the module’s upper locking catch onto the top edge of the DIN rail.

Push the lower part of the module toward the rail until the bottom spring clip clicks into place for firm fixation.

Module removal: Pull down the bottom spring latch using a screwdriver, tilt the lower part outward, then lift the module off the DIN rail.

Installation Clearance & Ventilation

Leave adequate clearance above and beneath the module to facilitate natural heat dissipation.

Maintain reasonable gaps between neighbouring I/O modules to prevent heat buildup.

Do not obstruct ventilation openings on the module enclosure.

Wiring Requirements

Execute all wiring operations after cutting off the power supply.

Separate signal cables and power cables to minimise electromagnetic interference.

Fasten terminal screws with specified torque to avoid loose connections or broken wire strands.

Apply correct cable shielding and earthing practices in accordance with marine automation standards.

Communication Connection

Attach RBUS communication cables to MSD and LSD ports. Daisy-chain topology is supported for the K-Chief system network.

Lay communication cables apart from high-power circuits.

Environmental Installation Conditions

Mount the module inside dry, vibration-isolated cabinets that meet marine requirements for ambient temperature and humidity.

Protect the module against direct sunlight, water splashes, corrosive fumes and heavy conductive dust.
