Voltage & Current Specifications for Eaton XV-363-10-C02-A00-1B HMI Touch Panel

Power Supply

Nominal operating voltage: 24 V DC, classified as SELV safety extra-low voltage.

Valid continuous operating voltage range: 19.2 V DC to 30.0 V DC.

Voltage range for battery-driven operation: 18.0 V DC to 31.2 V DC.

Permitted transient overvoltage: 35 V DC with a duration shorter than 100 ms.

Maximum power consumption: 20.5 W.

Typical operating current: ≤ 0.85 A at 24 V DC.

Peak inrush current: ≤ 1.0 A²s.

Power Input Notes

Only DC power input is supported; AC power supply cannot be adopted.

This HMI shall be powered by a galvanically isolated 24 V DC power source that complies with SELV/PELV requirements.

Communication Interface Power

All integrated communication ports including Ethernet, RS232, RS485, CAN and PROFIBUS-DP receive internal power supply. No external auxiliary power is needed for communication signal transmission.

USB Host Port Output

The USB interface provides standard 5 V DC power with a maximum output current of 500 mA to drive connected external USB peripherals.

Routine Maintenance for Eaton XV-363-10-C02-A00-1B HMI Touch Panel

Daily Visual Inspection

Perform periodic inspections of the HMI enclosure, touchscreen surface and wiring connections. Check for cracks, deformation, water stains and accumulated dust. Ensure power and communication cables are firmly secured with no loose terminals, deteriorated insulation or cable ageing. Monitor display performance, and identify anomalies including screen flicker, color distortion, dark patches and unresponsive touch areas.

Weekly Surface Cleaning

Disconnect the 24 V DC power supply prior to cleaning. Use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth slightly moistened with neutral glass cleaner or purified water to wipe the touchscreen and front panel. Never spray liquid directly onto the HMI; apply cleaning fluid to the cloth to stop liquid infiltrating the housing. Abrasive detergents, alcohol, acetone and harsh solvents must not be used, as these substances will erode the touchscreen surface coating.

Monthly Environmental Check

Monitor onsite operating surroundings. The operating ambient temperature should stay between 0°C and 50°C, with relative humidity controlled at 10% to 90% without condensation. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight exposure on the display. Keep cabinet ventilation pathways unblocked to avoid heat accumulation. Shield the unit from oil mist, corrosive vapors and conductive dust.

Quarterly Connection & Function Test

Examine communication terminals such as Ethernet, RS485, CAN and PROFIBUS interfaces, and retighten any loose connectors. Conduct basic functional verification covering touch responsiveness, page switching, alarm prompting, data acquisition and remote communication. Verify proper operation of historical data recording, recipe storage and parameter backup. Export configuration files to external USB storage for archiving.

Semi-annual Power Cycle Inspection

Implement standardized power-off and restart tests. Complete normal HMI shutdown, disconnect the 24 V DC power for 5 minutes, then restore power. Track the boot sequence, confirm all communication links automatically re-establish and the loaded project runs free of fault alerts. Check for unusual noise and excessive temperature rise during startup and continuous operation.

Preventive Precautions

Do not operate the touchscreen with sharp objects including screwdrivers and pens to prevent surface scratches.

Avoid frequent hot plugging and unplugging of USB peripherals during steady operation.

Strictly comply with official specifications during firmware replacement or upgrade; power supply interruption during programming should be prevented.

Check earthing conditions if recurring communication failures or touch malfunctions appear. Reliable protective earthing helps mitigate electromagnetic interference.

Fault Record & Spare Part Management

Document maintenance dates, abnormal symptoms and corresponding resolution actions. Prepare standby power adapters and communication cables for emergency substitution. Arrange component replacement plans when the HMI reaches extended service tenure, so as to avert unplanned downtime triggered by hardware ageing.
