Power Supply Parameters
The module operates on a 24 VDC industrial power supply, with a universal input voltage range of 18 VDC to 32 VDC to adapt to common voltage fluctuations in power generation and oil & gas industrial scenarios. It delivers low steady-state current and low power consumption, supporting long-term continuous full-load operation. Integrated multi-protection functions including overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent and short-circuit protection effectively safeguard internal circuits and ensure stable equipment operation under abnormal power conditions.
Field Signal Parameters
This module supports standard industrial analog and digital signal interaction. Analog inputs accept 0–10 VDC voltage signals and 4–20 mA current signals for real-time collection of turbine speed, pressure, temperature and unit load parameters. Analog outputs provide configurable 4–20 mA current signals to drive field actuators and implement high-precision closed-loop control. Digital I/O circuits adopt standard industrial low-voltage signals with stable threshold values, ensuring accurate signal recognition and reliable safety interlock execution.

During long-term operation, gear lubrication at meshing points gradually diminishes, causing increased friction and premature gear wear. The Woodward 8200-508 module can disable unnecessary motor movement via motor power cutoff functions, avoiding idle operation and effectively reducing gear wear.
Three core wear mitigation solutions are adopted for service life extension:

All optimization strategies are configured and implemented through the Woodward 8200-508 controller to ensure stable and long-term operation of the gas valve actuator.
This specification only applies to systems combining EM-35MR1 actuators and matched Woodward 8200-508 control modules.
Applicable model features:
The 3103 gas valve with EM-35MR1 uses a motor feedback resolver instead of traditional field director and tachometer feedback.
The dedicated DIP program only supports EM-35MR1 drivers and parameter matching with the Woodward 8200-508 module.
Legacy EM-35 drivers and valves with position controller cards for NetCon, MicroNet or MicroNet Plus chassis are excluded from this optimization solution.
